Important: Despite the limitations of Covid-19, we will offer the lecture and the practice in the field of local networks. Until further notice, this is done through an web-based lecture.

The event starts on 20.4.2020.

Lectures and exercises are offered as live webinars via Webex. The events take place on the above dates. In order to participate in the respective event, you need a specific access code, which you will find out after registering for the event in the LSF (link below) in the respective Moodle workspace. You can use the audio or chat function to ask questions or submit comments during the lecture or practice. The lecture slides will be made available in the download area before the event.

Please also register as soon as possible in the LSF (exercise) so that you can participate, we can notify you of the exact modalities and reserve resources, too. It also gives you access to the associated Moodle workspace.





  • Network Basics: Technical Concepts and Applications

  • Examples of Wireline Communication Systems: CAN-Bus, Ethernet, MOST, USB

  • Examples of Wireless Communication Systems: WLAN, Bluetooth, Zigbee


Masterstudiengang Elektrotechnik und Informationstechnik

This lecture corresponds to Modul 2-19 (ETIT 238) of the master program (7/2018).

5 Credits for passing the oral rsp. written examination.


Master Automation & Robotics

Lecture, exercise and the examination will be also provided for A&R students (study regulations 03.2000/01.2003). A&R students receive 4.5 Credits for passing the oral examination (30 Minutes) rsp. the written examination (1.5 hours).
